Weekly Weigh In

So, it's that time of the week again. How did it get to be Monday already? I've been so super busy this last week and I have a small confession to make: I haven't counted calories all week. I simply haven't had the time. Even with my handy dandy phone app, it just didn't happen.

I didn't allow myself to overeat just because I wasn't counting, but being as busy as I was I didn't always make the best choices with the options I had.

Oh yea, I'm also having a lovely visit with TOM. He always ruins a party, doesn't he? Since I've changed my eating habits TOM really hasn't been much of a bother, but man oh man has he made his presence known this month!! The emotions, the cravings, the bloating. I don't know what it is....maybe all of that processed food I ate at the beginning of the month? Either way, I'm not happy with him right now!!

Ok, so here we go: This week's weigh in result is 217.8. For a one week's loss of only .2 lbs. Considering the week I've had, I'll take it. That puts me at a total loss of 7.4 lbs. I know slow and steady wins the race, but this is agonizing!!!

  1. Thanks for stopping by my blog!! And hey, a .2 loss is WAY better than a gain!! Especailly with TOM visiting! I always seem to gain like 3-5 pounds when TOM is in town. Great job!!

  2. Hi jessica, I was at sean's blog and saw that you were trying to lose one hundred pounds and so I thought I would come on by.
I wanted to say that slow and steady DOES win the race. It will add up...1 lb here, 5 lbs there.
counting or keeping track of your calories is key.
You will see great, steady progress.
I have lost over 100 lbs in 14 months. You can do this. Hang in there.

  4. Oh, and I agree with Chris...counting has been imperative to my success. I've never written it down---1500 isn't that difficult to keep a running total in my head. I did track every bite for 30 days so the hospital dietitian could evaluate my nutrition---and she found that I just needed a little more fiber...
But seriously, as you read my archives, if you do, you'll see that I'm all about simplicity...always. Never over-complicate my friend, but set a budget and maintain the integrity of that calorie bank, regardless of your schedule---and that 100 pounds will be gone...gone...gone!!!
