I was all set to come here and start a new challenge. Until I discoverd that the name I had chosen for the challenge shares the same name with that THING from KFC. Can't do it....sorry. ....so now I need a name.
....and some participants. Who's in?
Let's all commit to doubling our efforts for the next week. Let's tackle Turkey Day ahead of the game!
Leave me a comment if you want to join in (and feel free to suggest a name!) and let me know your plan for the next week. If you have a blog, leave the link. Tomorrow I will list everyone participating (and a link to your blog) so we can all cheer each other on and get a little blog love in the process.
I mentioned the other day that I plan to count every calorie and I plan to drink 128 oz of water per day. I've been doing well with those and so I'm going to up the ante a bit. Between now and (including) Turkey Day, I intend to burn 2500 workout calories.
So let's do this. Let's double....up? Just doesn't have the same ring, does it?
I am ready to "double up" what better week then the week that I will have all three kids home out of school and would love to just curl up with them and hang out in front of the tv drinking hot chocolate? My excuse to get out lately, it's too cold!! Not a good excuse, I don't have a gym but I do have a treadmill at home and cable on demand with all sorts of exercise programs!
ReplyDeleteSo, my plan for the next week, to get OUT THERE for a 30 minute jog OR MORE or exercise in my home for 30 or more (I am new to moving, it's been a while so starting slowly) and I WILL DOCUMENT EVERYTHING I EAT, including Turkey day!
And 8 glasses of water, I am only on 2 or so right now, all bad!
Thanks for the awesome post!
Count me in!
Re-reading my post, that is 30 minutes more a day or more. Believe me, one does sound good but what will that do? Nothing. Time to be un-lazy, me. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be working extra hard next week...since ei just had three days off.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally in! My plan is to go to the gym twice a day during the week, count every single calorie even on Turkey day and drink 8 glasses of water! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in! I am going to try a lot harder to get those workouts in because I have really been slacking!! Thanks for doing this! :) It's motivating! Thanks for signing up for the 5k, too!
ReplyDeleteOh, and a name- How about Healthy Seconds. Instead of taking Seconds at Thanksgiving, we can take seconds of the healthy things- like an extra bike ride or run. :) Just an idea.
ReplyDeleteHi! Thanks so much for commenting on my blog. No, you hadnt introduced yourself so I am so glad you did!!! I try to count calories everyday too. It is easy when you are preparing your own food, but tougher when someone else does. And I try to drink 100oz of water a day too. It really does help :)
ReplyDeleteAgain, thanks for your comment!

Ok, I'm in! I"ve been worried about Thanksgiving anyway, and while I plan to enjoy the holiday, I'm not going to let in put a wrench in my weight loss!
ReplyDeleteI plan to drink green smoothies every day (gonna aim for at least 2), lots of water, and I would like to run 10 miles this week!!
